Job Summary

Sigma Cabinets is hiring two Cabinet Assemblers / Shop Workers for our custom cabinetry and millwork shop in Surrey, BC.

Assembly will be a main part of the job, but this is not an assembly-only position. We are looking for people who are willing to learn and work across different areas of shop production over time.

A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in a cabinet or millwork shop is required. Candidates with relevant cabinet shop experience but less assembly experience may also be considered at a Shop Helper level.

Duties

- Assemble cabinet boxes, drawers, panels, and other cabinet components according to shop drawings and specifications
- Install hinges, drawer slides, and other cabinet hardware
- Perform quality checks and identify defects or inconsistencies
- Assist with material preparation, handling, and organization
- Assist with custom millwork and fabrication based on experience and skill level
- Prepare, label, and organize completed cabinets and components for delivery and installation
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition
- Assist in different areas of shop production as needed
- Take on additional shop responsibilities as skills and experience develop

Skills & Requirements




- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in a cabinet or millwork shop is required
- Cabinet assembly experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of cabinet construction
- Ability to read shop drawings, measurements, and production instructions
- Experience using common hand and power tools used in cabinet production
- Accurate measuring skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of protected shop practices
- Willingness and ability to learn different shop processes and equipment
- Able to work independently once instructions are provided
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a production team
- Able to safely lift and handle cabinet components and materials
- Valid driver’s licence is required

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
