Overview
We use Solidworks but still have lots of files with Autodesk Inventor and Autocad. Very easy to make the switch to Solidworks if you are morer familiar with Autodesk product.
You will be working on Excavator Attachment design for 2D drawings and machine paths for Oxy-Fuel cutter and waterjet. Also generating assemblies of hydraulics components. And machining drawings for hydraulic acuators. We can teach you how to do it all but you need to want to be using CAD programs and getting involved in the production process.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings.
- Collaborate with engineers, mechanics, and sales staff so that information is accurate.
- Create fabrication and customer documentation, including customer sign-off's, welding diagrams.
- Assist in reviewing design models for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project requirements.
- Create design automations to remove repetitive work.
- Maintain organized CAD files and documentation for easy retrieval and version control.
- Incorporate feedback from project teams to refine drawings and ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
Qualifications
- Must have some experience with 3D software or have recently graduated with education in the field.
- Strong understanding of drafting principles and schematic development across multiple disciplines.
- Need to want to understand "Why" each model and drawing is being made.
- Proficiency in creating detailed schematics and technical drawings that meet industry standards.
- Can communicate and ask questions. Can be part of large production process.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and deadlines. A sense of urgency is paramount as our business is built on speed.
Probably the biggest part of the business is the use of design automation in software. Many processes are repetitive and we don't need to spend time drawing the same line or reproducing the same model over and over again. We will teach you how to become more effective.
