MellorDuck Nest Cleaning is a recent and growing cleaning business serving Saskatoon and surrounding areas.

We provide professional residential, commercial, office, common-area, deep-cleaning, move-in/move-out, and short-term rental cleaning services.

As we build our client base, we are looking for an experienced cleaner who can confidently perform professional cleaning duties independently and to a high standard.

About the Position

We are seeking a dependable and experienced cleaner to join MellorDuck Nest Cleaning on a casual/on-call basis.

The ideal candidate already has professional cleaning experience and understands how to properly clean residential and/or commercial environments without requiring basic cleaning instruction.

You should be comfortable assessing a cleaning area, following a cleaning checklist, managing your time effectively, using cleaning products and equipment appropriately, and completing assigned work to a professional standard.

While you will receive an orientation regarding MellorDuck Nest Cleaning's policies, procedures, safety expectations, and client-specific requirements, this position is intended for an experienced cleaner and is not an entry-level training position.

Chance for Growth

MellorDuck Nest Cleaning is currently building its client base. For this reason, the position will begin as casual/on-call employment with no guaranteed minimum weekly hours.

As the company gains new clients and recurring cleaning contracts, this position may develop into regular part-time or full-time employment, depending on business needs, available work, employee availability, and performance.

Responsibilities

Depending on the assignment, responsibilities may include:

- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Dusting furniture, fixtures, ledges, and other surfaces




- Cleaning and disinfecting washrooms
- Cleaning kitchens and break rooms
- Cleaning residential living areas and bedrooms
- Cleaning offices and commercial spaces
- Cleaning apartment and condominium common areas
- Emptying garbage and replacing liners
- Cleaning mirrors, interior glass, doors, and high-touch surfaces
- Cleaning appliances, fixtures, and cabinetry when required
- Performing detailed deep cleaning
- Performing move-in and move-out cleaning
- Following client-specific cleaning checklists
- Properly using cleaning chemicals, products, supplies, and equipment
- Working efficiently within scheduled cleaning times
- Identifying and reporting property damage, maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or supply shortages
- Maintaining professional conduct while working in clients' homes and properties
- Respecting client privacy and confidentiality
- Following MellorDuck Nest Cleaning's policies, procedures, and safety requirements

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have

- Previous professional cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial experience
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and procedures
- Experience using common cleaning products, chemicals, and equipment
- Ability to perform cleaning duties independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Good time-management skills
- Dependability and punctuality
- Professional and respectful communication
- Ability to follow written cleaning checklists and client instructions
- Ability to perform routine physical cleaning duties
- Ability to maintain client privacy and confidentiality
- Reliable transportation to assigned work locations
- Ability and willingness to complete a criminal background check as a condition of employment

Because employees may work inside clients' homes, offices, apartment buildings, and other private properties,



a satisfactory criminal background check will be required before employment or assignment to client locations, as applicable. Any background-check information obtained will be handled confidentially and used only for legitimate employment purposes.

Experience

Professional cleaning experience: Required

Experience in one or more of the following is preferred:

- Residential cleaning
- Commercial cleaning
- Office cleaning
- Apartment/condominium common-area cleaning
- Deep cleaning
- Move-in/move-out cleaning
- Short-term rental or Airbnb cleaning
- Janitorial or housekeeping work

Schedule This position will initially be casual/on-call.

Work will be offered based on client bookings and cleaning contracts obtained by MellorDuck Nest Cleaning.

Assignments may include

- Weekdays
- Evenings
- Weekends
- Occasional short-notice assignments
- Recurring cleaning assignments as they become available

There are no guaranteed minimum weekly hours at this time. As the client base grows, successful employees may be offered more regular hours and may have the opportunity to transition into part-time or full-time employment.

Pay

Hourly wage: To be determined based on experience.

The hourly wage and employment terms will be discussed during the hiring process and confirmed before employment begins.

Work Location

Cleaning assignments will take place at various residential and commercial client locations throughout Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and potentially surrounding areas.

Applicants must be able to reliably travel to assigned work locations.
