The Coordinator is responsible for implementing the Centre’s digital communication strategies, promoting research outputs and events, and coordinating administrative tasks that support team operations.
The Coordinator will play a key role in enhancing the visibility of the Intact Centre by producing compelling content across digital, print, and in-person formats, supporting media outreach, and strengthening the Centre’s public profile and brand. This includes developing strategic communications that translate technical findings into accessible messages for government, media, and the public. This role is critical to maintaining the Centre’s national presence, professional image, and operational efficiency.
The Coordinator will serve as a point of contact for the Intact Centre and will serve as liaison between the centre, the Faculty of Environment,
and Media Relations.Key AccountabilitiesCommunicationsLead development of professional, engaging content for social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram) and weekly newsletters (MailChimp)Maintain and update the Intact Centre website using WordPressMonitor and analyze web and social media engagement using Google AnalyticsSupport the promotion and dissemination of current research publications, webinars, and eventsDraft and edit written content for reports, announcements, presentations, and media materialsContribute to the development of quarterly and annual reportsWorks with Managing Director, Climate Science on quarterly and annual reportsAdministrationBook meetings, take meeting minutes, and coordinate internal schedules and shared calendarsSupports event planning and coordination for conferences, committee meetings, workshops, seminars, public eventsBalance deadlines and responsibilities while accommodating multiple interruptions to deal with a wide range of questions and issues as they ariseRequired QualificationsEducationPost-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience requiredExperienceMinimum 2 years’ experience in writing, editing and creating content for social media.Minimum 2 years administrative experience ideally in a research environmentProficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex subjects to a wider audienceWorking knowledge of LinkedIn, Instagram, MailChimp, Google Analytics,
