We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Embroidery Technician to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating commercial embroidery machines, preparing garments and materials, and producing high-quality embroidered designs according to customer specifications.
The ideal candidate has experience with commercial embroidery equipment, understands basic embroidery settings and troubleshooting, and takes pride in producing clean, consistent, professional-quality work.
Responsibilities
- Operate single-head and/or multi-head commercial embroidery machines.
- Set up machines for different jobs, including selecting hoops, needles, threads, and backing.
- Load and position garments, hats, jackets, bags, uniforms, and other products correctly.
- Prepare embroidery files and make basic adjustments as required.
- Select appropriate thread colors, needles, backing, and stabilizers for each material.
- Adjust machine settings such as thread tension, speed, stitch density, and trims.
- Monitor embroidery machines during production and identify potential issues.
- Troubleshoot common embroidery problems such as thread breaks, bird nesting, registration issues, needle breaks, and thread tension problems.
- Inspect finished embroidery for quality, alignment, thread breaks, loose threads, and other defects.
- Trim excess backing and threads and complete garments to production standards.
- Follow work orders, production schedules, artwork specifications, and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate counts and organize completed orders.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of embroidery equipment.
- Keep the production area clean, organized, and safe.
- Report equipment problems, material shortages, and quality issues to the supervisor.
- Meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating commercial embroidery machines is preferred.
- Experience with multi-head embroidery machines is an asset.
- Knowledge of embroidery digitizing and embroidery file formats is an asset.
- Experience with embroidery software such as Wilcom, Pulse, Hatch, Tajima, or similar software is an asset.
- Good understanding of thread tension, stitch density, underlay, backing, and garment positioning.
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic machine and production issues.
- Ability to follow written instructions and production specifications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to work in a rapid-paced production environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle garments/materials as required.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
