Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching or tutoring, with the ability to engage and inspire students in their learning journey.

Experience working with children is essential as you will be responsible for fostering a positive and productive learning environment.

Responsibilities

- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs.
- Develop customized lesson plans that align with students' academic goals and learning styles.
- Assist students in understanding complex concepts in various subjects, including language arts and mathematics.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement.
- Create a supportive and engaging atmosphere that promotes student confidence and motivation.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student performance and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress.

Requirements

- Native in English is mandatory.




- Strong familiarity with Ontario English curriculum.
- Previous experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly with children, is essential.
- Strong writing skills to assist students in developing their literacy abilities.
- Classroom experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with educational settings and practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and foster a positive learning environment.

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour Expected hours: 6.0 – 10.0 per week
