Experienced Handyman / Maintenance Technician

Canada Home Maintenance Solutions (CHMS) is looking for an experienced, reliable, and skilled Handyman / Maintenance Technician to join our growing team.

We are looking for someone with 5+ years of hands-on handyman, maintenance, or renovation experience who takes pride in their work, can work independently, and follows company procedures.

Pay

$25.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Position

This position can provide a full-time work opportunity for the right candidate who is willing to take on both handyman/maintenance work and cleaning jobs as required.

Requirements

- Minimum 5+ years of professional handyman, maintenance, renovation, or related experience
- Must have your own professional hand tools
- Valid Ontario G Driver’s Licence
- Clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of residential repairs and maintenance
- Able to work independently and complete jobs from start to finish
- Willing to perform both handyman and cleaning jobs
- Strong attention to detail and quality of workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and skilled
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Comfortable using a smartphone for job documentation
- Must be able to take before-and-after photos and properly document completed work
- Must follow company procedures, checklists, safety requirements, and job instructions

Responsibilities
- General handyman repairs and property maintenance
- Drywall repairs and patching
- Bathroom , Kitchen renovation
- Painting and touch-ups
- Flooring repairs and installation
- Minor plumbing and fixture repairs
- Door, cabinet, hardware, and lock repairs
- Vanity and fixture installation
- Caulking and sealing
- Eavestrough and general exterior maintenance




- Cleaning and janitorial work as required
- Cleaning the work area after completing jobs
- Taking before-and-after photos
- Documenting work completed and materials used
- Identifying and reporting additional repairs or issues
- Following company procedures and completing required checklists
- Providing professional service to customers

What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate is an experienced, hands-on professional who can take responsibility for a job from start to finish. You should be comfortable switching between handyman work, property maintenance, and cleaning assignmentsdepending on the jobs available.

Strong workmanship, reliability, communication, documentation, and the ability to follow company procedures are essential for this position.
