Join ERM’s archaeology and cultural heritage team as a Field Technician in Whitehorse/Mayo, YT. Engage in archaeological fieldwork including surveys and data collection over a full time contract. As a Field Technician at ERM, you'll work closely with experienced archaeologists to participate in surveys and shovel testing.
This full-time position is ideal for candidates with a degree in Anthropology or Archaeology, and it requires a willingness to work in variable outdoor conditions on a rotating schedule.
Your role will be vital to meeting our team's productivity and safety goals while recording archaeological sites. Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in archaeological survey and shovel testing
- Assist ERM Archaeologists with accurate data collection
- Collaborate to achieve productivity and safety objectives
- Perform fieldwork on a shift-work basis
- Travel to camps for full duration of assignments Requirements:
- Degree in Anthropology or Archaeology preferred
- 0-3 years of archaeological field experience
- Prior field school experience is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in varied conditions
- Extend time in the field for multiple shifts Contribute to meaningful archaeological research and cultural heritage conservation with ERM as a Field Technician.
