Ground Support Equipment Technician (Licensed) GAFAE- Maintenance Posted : October 2, 2026 Full-Time On-site Ground Support Equipment Technician (Licensed) Schedule: 12-hour day shift, 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off Compensation: $31.55–$43.50 per hour, with opportunities to earn and bank overtime in accordance with the GAFAE Collective Agreement. Starting salary will be determined based on internal equity and the successful candidate’s qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.

Travel & Accommodation: Employees rotate in from Ottawa, ON and are eligible for travel reimbursement of up to $1,000 per month.

Reporting to: Manager, Ground Support Equipment The Ground Support Equipment Technician is responsible for the repair, diagnosis, and preventative maintenance of all GSE equipment within the Canadian North equipment list. Service, troubleshoot and repair of ground support equipment

- Maintain care and control of Company publications, tools and equipment
- Ability to travel away from base
- High School diploma or equivalent related work experience
- Must possess automotive and heavy equipment repair experience with working knowledge of gasoline, diesel, and propane engines/systems
- Must hold an Automotive Technician license or Coach/Truck or Heavy Equipment license
- Inter-provincial certification considered an asset
- Previous experience with minor welding and fabricating considered an asset
- Basic knowledge of electronics,



fuel injection systems and hydraulic systems considered an asset
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Must have the ability to travel to our remote communities
- Ability to communicate in Inuktitut an asset
