Heavy Duty Mechanic
Are you a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic who takes pride in keeping equipment running, solving problems, and getting the job done right?
Resolute Forestry Services Ltd. is looking for a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. We operate in demanding forestry, construction, reclamation, oil & gas, and utility environments where reliable equipment is critical to keeping projects moving.
We’re looking for someone who is motivated, dependable, mechanically skilled, and willing to take ownership of our equipment maintenance and repairs.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Equipment Maintenance & Repairs – Service, maintain, and repair heavy equipment and support equipment.
- Preventative Maintenance – Stay ahead of breakdowns through regular inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance.
- Field Repairs – Perform repairs and maintenance in the field when required, including at remote project locations.
- Shop Repairs – Complete larger repairs, maintenance, and rebuilds efficiently and to a high standard.
- General Welding & Fabrication – Perform general welding, repairs, and minor fabrication as required to maintain equipment and support operations.
- Parts & Supplies – Identify required parts and materials and help ensure critical parts and supplies are available when needed.
- Equipment Inspections – Identify developing problems before they become costly breakdowns or downtime.
- Work With Operations – Communicate with operators, supervisors, and management to prioritize repairs and keep equipment productive.
- Records & Documentation – Maintain accurate service, repair, inspection, and maintenance records.
- Housekeeping – Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop, service truck, tools, and work areas.
- Take Ownership – Treat company equipment as if it were your own and take pride in keeping it secure, reliable, and ready to work.
What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will have experience working on logging and construction equipment and be comfortable working on a variety of heavy equipment in both shop and field environments.
We value someone who can work independently, take initiative, communicate clearly, stay organized, and find practical solutions when working in the field.
A valid driver's licence is required.
