We are a busy waste management company looking for an experienced Heavy Truck / Roll-Off Truck Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of roll-off trucks and other heavy equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair roll-off trucks and heavy-duty vehicles
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, brake, suspension, and engine-related issues
- Repair and maintain roll-off hoists, hydraulic systems, PTOs, and truck bodies
- Perform safety inspections and ensure vehicles are road-ready
- Complete repairs efficiently and maintain accurate service records
- Respond to breakdowns and assist with emergency repairs when required
- Keep the shop and work area clean and organized
Qualifications
- Previous experience working on heavy-duty trucks required
- Experience with roll-off trucks and hydraulic systems is an asset
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's licence
- Heavy-duty mechanic certification or equivalent experience preferred
