Instructor Therapist (ABA Therapy)
We are currently looking for Instructor Therapists or individuals with a background in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child and Youth Work (CYW), Social Work, Behavioural Science, or a related field to join our growing team.
Convergency Autism Services is a growing organization dedicated to providing high-quality Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) services in both home-based and centre-based settings. We offer training, ongoing mentorship, and certification opportunities for candidates who are new to the ABA field and passionate about supporting children and families.
Having an RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification is preferred but not required. Experience with ABLLS-R and AFLS assessments, as well as program development, is considered a strong asset. Compensation will be based on education and experience and may be negotiated accordingly.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized ABA therapy for children with autism, including implementing behaviour plans and teaching in natural environments
- Implement therapy programs and accurately record data
- Provide therapy services in both in-home and centre-based settings, adapting to varying client needs and environments.
- Maintain skilled documentation and communicate client progress, concerns, and recommendations to supervisors.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinical Director or RBA
- Provide therapy sessions addressing emotional,
behavioural, or developmental challenges
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (ECE, CYW, Social Work, Behaviour Science & Technology, or equivalent)
- Ability to work with clients who may present with challenging behaviours, including aggression, self-injurious behaviour, elopement, or non-compliance.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between client homes, community locations, and centre-based programs as required.
- Compassionate approach with strong communication skills suited for working with children and families
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused in challenging situations.
