CIMA+ is seeking to hire an Intermediate Road Safety Technologist to support our expanding traffic and safety practice in Ontario.
You will have the opportunity to broaden your experience by being exposed to many aspects of road safety, including Vision Zero planning, road safety data collection and processing, network screening, roadway and railway safety reviews, research and literature reviews, and public and stakeholder consultation. CIMA+ provides the opportunity to work with recognized senior professionals in the transportation field to learn and advance in your profession. Ongoing training is offered to allow you to continually upgrade your skills.
Work closely with senior technical staff to develop high-quality and technically accurate end products, Conduct site visits, field observations and field measurements, Conduct data collection and processing in support of road safety initiatives, Undertake research and literature reviews in concurrence with various projects, Conduct statistical analysis in support of road safety modelling, Conduct public and stakeholder engagement, Prepare Technical Reports, proposals, and presentations, and 5+ years of progressive experience in Road Safety. ~ Transportation Engineering Technology diploma. ~ Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation is an asset. ~ Proficient with traffic analysis software (Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS). ~ Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite of products.
