Mining, you will report to the Senior Underground Mining Engineer and contribute to developing short-term designs while mentoring fellow mine planners. Your expertise will ensure project coordination between Operations and Mine Planning teams. This position includes managing schedules, optimizing mining sequences, and assisting with longhole drill designs, making a significant impact on project execution. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the short-term Deswik schedule for mine planning
- Mentor and train the Mine Planning team on safety
- Coordinate workflows between Operations Planning and Mine Planning
- Review and optimize mine sequences for efficiency
- Report monthly KPIs and assist in reserve generation Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Mining Engineering or relevant diploma
- 3-5 years of underground mining experience
- Proficiency in mine planning software, particularly Deswik
- Robust communication and mentoring abilities
