Sushi California is located at A-501 North Rd., Coquitlam, BC V3J 1N7. We are currently looking for permanent, full time Japanese (Sushi) Cooks. If you are interested, please submit your application by e-mail or mail.

Position: Cook

Wage: CAD$25.00/hour

Types: Full time, Permanent (various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays)

Working hours: 30-40 hours/week

Benefits: 4% of vacation pay

Job Duties

Prepare and cook Japanese sushi items, including sashimi, sushi, maki, rolls, and other menu items, in cooperation with other kitchen staff;

Maintain inventory and records of food;

Oversee kitchen operations;

Train kitchen staff in food preparation, handling, and sanitation procedures.

Job Requirements

Completion of secondary school; and





Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks or completion of college or other program in cooking or 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is required.

Skills demonstration may be required.
