Anderson Heating and Gasfitting Ltd. is a locally owned and operated HVAC, gas fitting and plumbing company serving Edmonton and surrounding communities.

We’re growing our service team and are looking for an experienced Journeyperson Plumber / Gasfitter who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys troubleshooting, and knows how to provide excellent service in a customer’s home.

We believe in honest recommendations, quality work and doing the job right. We’re not interested in pushing customers into repairs or replacements they don’t need.

The Position

This is a hands-on residential install and service position. You’ll work independently on a variety of plumbing and gas fitting calls while also working alongside our HVAC and mechanical team when needed.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair residential plumbing issues
- Install and replace hot water tanks
- Complete plumbing repairs and fixture replacements
- Perform plumbing work for renovations and mechanical rooms
- Diagnose and repair water and drainage issues
- Complete gas fitting installations, repairs and troubleshooting
- Install and service gas lines and gas-fired equipment within your certification
- Read and interpret plans, specifications and applicable codes
- Identify issues and explain repair options clearly to homeowners
- Provide honest recommendations based on what the customer actually needs
- Maintain clean and professional work areas
- Complete service documentation accurately
- Follow company safety procedures and applicable codes
- Work independently and as part of our growing service team

Qualifications

Required:





- Alberta Journeyperson Plumber certification or recognized equivalent
- Gasfitter Class B certification
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
- Strong plumbing troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Dependable and punctual
- Commitment to safe, code-compliant workmanship

Preferred:

- Residential service experience
- Experience with hot water tanks and mechanical rooms
- Experience troubleshooting gas-fired equipment
- Experience working directly with homeowners
- Experience with residential renovations and service plumbing
- Additional HVAC or mechanical experience is an asset
