As aJourneypersonRefrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanicat the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge your care and attention to detail will ensure that our guests have a memorable stay in the Canadian Rockies.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to theDirector of Engineering, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

- Consistently offers professional,engagingand friendly service
- Follow departmental policies,proceduresand service standards
- Responsible for all HVAC related trade work at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge
- Responsible for the installation,repairand maintenance of all HVAC equipment
- Preventative maintenance of equipmentpertaining toHVAC
- Ensure all work done in the HVAC departmentis in compliance withfederal and provincial codes and regulations
- Ensure all power tools are in good and safe working conditions
- Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule based on volume of business
- Train andassistthe shift maintenance colleagues
- Assistother trades as they relate to HVAC maintenance
- Communicate effectively and professionally with both guests and colleagues
- Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles

Your experience and skills include:

- Provincial Journeyperson Certificate issued by the Province of Alberta or Red Seal Endorsement isrequired.
- Maintenance experience of HVAC equipment isrequired.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows applicationsrequired(Word, Excel & Power Point)
- Gas Fitting Ticket an asset
- Pneumatic controls experience an asset
- Valid Alberta driver’s licenserequired
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal andproblem solvingabilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs,remainingcalm and courteous at all times
- Candidates thatpossessa Provincial Journeyperson Certificate issued by the Province of Alberta in a related trade, defined by Apprenticeship and Industry Training, will be considered for apprenticeship opportunities
