About the Role
This role sits within Hardland's Technician Career Ladder (T0-T3), offering explicit expectations, skill-based wage progression, and transparent advancement opportunities.
Position Summary The Landscape Summer and Winter Labourer role is the entry point into Hardland's field production team. This role supports crews with labor, material handling, site setup, cleanup, and basic installation support while building safe work habits and jobsite discipline.
What You'll Do
- Assist with site setup, teardown, protection, and cleanup
- Move materials, tools, and equipment safely
- Support excavation, grading prep, and general labor tasks
- Assist with hardscape, softscape, fencing, and pool support work
- Follow Hardland SOPs and safety expectations
- Support snow shovel operations if assigned

- Safe labour support
- Site cleanliness and organization
- Material staging and handling
- Attendance and reliability
- Following direction and crew standards
- Work area is kept clean, safe, and organized
- Materials and tools are staged where needed with minimal delay
- Labor tasks are completed safely and on time
- End-of-day cleanup and shutdown are completed to standard
- Crew support reduces drag rather than creating it
How Performance Is Measured
At Hardland, performance is measured by
- PPE compliance
- Attendance and punctuality
- Cleanup / housekeeping standard met daily
- Material staging accuracy
- Number of repeated corrections required
- Safety incidents or near misses
- Supervisor assessment of coachability and work pace
Minimum Requirements
- Physically capable of outdoor manual labor
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Respectful attitude
- Willingness to learn
- Able to follow direction safely
Preferred Assets
- Construction or landscape labour experience
- Winter snow removal experience
- Valid driver's license Class G
- Own transportation to get to the pick up site
- Basic hand tool familiarity and small equipment operations

Wage placement is based on demonstrated skill within Hardland's T0-T3 wage grid. Advancement is earned through:

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
