Reporting to the Manager Casualty Claims Litigation, in this role, you will be responsible for the full handling of litigation claims with an emphasis on timely and fair resolution. Investigate and settle litigation files of various complexity. ~ Interprets complex insurance wordings/case law, determines policy coverages, and establishes reserves. ~ Attend private mediations, settlement meetings, hearings, etc. Mentor and coach junior claim staff as required. Minimum 3 years of robust insurance background handling litigation claims in a Bodily Injury claims environment. ~ Enrolled in, or completion of, CIP designation is an asset ~ Allstate Canada Group has policies and practices that provide workplace accommodations.
