Medical Office Assistant/Administrative Assistant

SouthMount Medical Imaging is a well-established Outpatient clinic in Hamilton, Ontario. We are owned and operated by the radiologists of the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre, who are also affiliated with McMaster University.

Southmount Medical Imaging is a patient-focused diagnostic imaging centre committed to delivering high-quality, timely, and compassionate care. We are seeking a enthusiastic and multitasking office admin to join our growing team.

Qualifications

- Certificate or diploma in medical office assistant course or a program
- Experience or education in medical administration, or a similar field- preferred
- Must have experience with Medical Office or Diagnostic facility
- Must have experience/knowledge with Medical EMR (electronic filing, scanning etc)
- Ability to manage high telephone volumes
- Must be able to multi-task and set priorities
- Must be detail-oriented and well organized





Duties and Responsibilities:

- Over the phone or In-person appointment bookings
- Patient registrations
- Accuracy in typing and transcription skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to establish and balance competing priorities in a challenging and changing work environment
- Process reports (print and fax)
- Coordinate with technologist, supervisor, or manager and help our current front desk staff with any additional administration work they may have.
- Perform cross-functional responsibilities as assigned.

Immediate opening.

Pay: $18.50-$21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 32.0 per week
