Job Title: Membership & Engagement Coordinator/Manager

Location: Markham, Ontario

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

We are seeking a highly organized and relationship-focused Membership & Engagement Coordinator/Manager to support the day-to-day operations and membership activities of the Chamber. This position will primarily support the Chamber’s membership, engagement, events, communications, and administrative activities. The position may be hired at the Coordinator or Manager level depending on the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate will play a key role in growing and engaging the Chamber’s corporate membership base, strengthening relationships with member companies, facilitating business connections, coordinating events and business activities, and supporting Canada–China business exchange initiatives.

What You Will Do

- Support the day-to-day administration and operations of the Chamber, including correspondence, documents, records, and other administrative materials.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare meeting materials and minutes, follow up on action items, and maintain organized and up-to-date Chamber records and contact information.
- Provide administrative support to the Chamber’s management and executive members as required.
- Support membership growth by identifying prospective corporate members, conducting outreach, communicating Chamber services and membership benefits, and following up on membership opportunities.
- Coordinate membership applications, onboarding, and renewals, and maintain accurate membership records.
- Build and maintain relationships with member companies, serve as a key point of contact for day-to-day inquiries, and connect members with relevant Chamber resources and opportunities.
- Support initiatives to strengthen member engagement, retention,



and participation in Chamber activities.
- Facilitate communication, information sharing, and business connections among member companies, and collect member feedback for Chamber management.
- Assist in organizing business forums, seminars, networking events, annual meetings, corporate visits, and other Chamber activities.
- Coordinate event logistics, including invitations, registrations, speakers, venues, materials, and stakeholder communication.
- Support business delegations and Canada–China business exchange activities.
- Liaise with member companies, business associations, government organizations, and other external stakeholders to support Chamber initiatives and business activities.
- Coordinate with external partners on joint events, business activities, and partnership initiatives, and assist in developing the Chamber’s external network and partnerships.
- Prepare and distribute Chamber notices, event invitations, membership communications, and other materials, and share relevant business, trade, investment, and market information with members.
- Support the promotion of Chamber activities and maintain effective communication with members and stakeholders.

What You Bring to the Table
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese are required, as the role involves regular communication with Chamber members, prospective members, external stakeholders,



and business partners in both languages.
- Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build professional relationships with corporate members, business associations, government organizations, and other external stakeholders.
- Experience or demonstrated capability in membership development, client/member services, business development, relationship management, or stakeholder engagement.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage meetings, events, records, communications, and multiple priorities.
- Strong event and meeting coordination skills, with attention to logistics, stakeholder communication, and execution.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural business environment and support Canada–China business exchange activities.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate membership records, correspondence, meeting materials, and other documentation.
- A proactive and service-oriented approach to supporting members, management, and Chamber activities.
