Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent Position Schedule: 7-days on, 7-days off rotation with 12-hour workdays Since 2016, we’ve grown to own and operate a portfolio of five surface mines in the Peace River Coalfields of Northeast British Columbia. Our operations support over 1,000 direct jobs and thousands more indirectly, contributing to the strength of the communities where we live and work. Today, our active mines include Willow Creek, located about 40 minutes from Chetwynd, and Quintette, just 15 minutes from Tumbler Ridge.

Administrative Functions: Manage all administrative tasks associated with the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, including orientation scheduling, benefits enrollment, payroll coordination, and leave management. Assist employees with accessing online benefits platforms and RRSP accounts, and address payroll concerns by escalating issues to the HR Manager or payroll department as necessary.
Employee Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits, HR policies, career development, and interpersonal issues. Attend daily crew meetings to address employee questions and concerns promptly.
Performance Management: Assist in the administration of performance evaluations.
Provide support to management and leadership in implementing performance management strategies, including corrective actions and/or disciplinary measures.
Talent Acquisition: Engage in talent acquisition processes, including screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and facilitating smooth onboarding for new hires. Represent the company at job fairs and other recruitment events. Data, Metrics and Reporting: Collect and analyze HR data to support strategic decision-making.
Regularly report on key metrics such as employee turnover and recruitment effectiveness. Monitor attendance management and bonus programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with company policy and procedure. Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR advisory or generalist role. Previous experience in mining or a related industrial environment is highly desirable and considered a significant asset.
Chartered
Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is preferred, or a strong commitment to achieving this designation. Ability to work 12-hour shifts; on a 7x7 rotation. Proficient in both written and verbal English,
capable of effective communication across various organizational levels.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, adept at managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Flexible and adaptable, capable of responding effectively to changing priorities and tasks in a dynamic work environment. Robust computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with HR Management Systems (HRMS) such as UKG or ADP.

Specifically for the Human Resources Advisorrole, we offer an annual base salary range of $85,000.00 - $100,000.00, along with a variety of bonuses.
