Department / Unit: Ophthalmology Clinic - MHC Anticipated Shift: Days Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the last five (5) years in a clerical ophthalmology position required. Recent experience with clinical optics, ocular motility, visual field testing, and ocular pharmacology is required.

Experience showcase positive understanding of medical terminology is required.

Experience with physician billing is required. including excellent customer service experience, being comfortable talking to patients to fact find and make patients feel comfortable talking to you. Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills. Knowledge of Novari/Accuro electronic medical record systems is required.

Medical terminology, especially ophthalmic terminology is required. Successful completion of the COA (Certified Ophthalmic Assistant) or an Ophthalmic Assistant certification (institutional or Home Study), recognized by the Joint Commission on Allied Personnel in Ophthalmology (J.Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.



Knowledge of the English language consistent with ease of communication, both oral and written required.
