Position Summary

Rafiki Hamilton is looking for a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Part-Time Community Engagement Worker. This role is crucial for connecting with community members, promoting our programs, and coordinating engaging activities. It's an ideal position for someone who is passionate about community building and has a flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities

- Program Coordination: Plan, organize, and facilitate a variety of workshops and events. This includes managing logistics, securing resources, and ensuring a positive environment for all participants.
- Community Outreach: Promote Rafiki Hamilton's programs and services by attending local events, setting up information booths, and networking with other organizations.
- Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients, inviting them to upcoming events and providing information about our services via phone and email.
- Community Partnerships:



Build and maintain relationships with local shelters and community centers to distribute flyers and other promotional materials.
- Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks such as tracking attendance, maintaining client records, and preparing reports.
- Flexible Schedule: This position requires working during afternoon hours and may require working on Saturdays or Sundays as needed to support events.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a community-based role, preferably in a non-profit setting.
- Bilingualism is required. The ability to communicate fluently in both English and French is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is considered an asset.
