Position Overview
The Public Area Attendant is a member ofthe Housekeeping Department and is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness,sanitation, presentation, and overall appearance of all public andguest-accessible areas within the Dakota Dunes Thermal Spa. This position workscontinuously and discreetly in a live thermal spa environment, including lounges,corridors, change areas, washrooms, entrances, dining-adjacent spaces, andother assigned public spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean,sanitize, inspect, and replenish assigned public spaces according toestablished frequencies and standards.
- Maintainwashrooms, vanities, showers, change-area surfaces, relaxation spaces,corridors, entrances, and other assigned areas.
- Removewaste, recycling, used towels, robes, cups, and other items promptly anddiscreetly.
- Completehigh-touch cleaning and respond to spills, wet floors, debris, and urgentcleaning needs.
- Conduct routinevisual inspections and communicate maintenance, damage, pest, safety, or supplyconcerns.
- Support deepcleaning and seasonal cleaning assignments.
- Followchemical dilution, WHMIS, PPE, infection-control, slip prevention, andoccupational safety procedures.
- Maintainclean equipment and prevent cross-contamination between washrooms, guest areas,and other zones.
- Respectguest privacy in change rooms and other sensitive areas and follow accessprotocols.
- Acknowledgeguests warmly and assist with simple questions or direct them to GuestServices.
- Immediatelycommunicate guest concerns or facility issues to the appropriate team member.
Qualifications
- Previousexperience in housekeeping, hotel, resort, spa, janitorial services, or similarenvironment is considered an asset.
- Strongcommunication and interpersonal skills.
- Attentionto detail and cleanliness standards.
- Ability towork independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability towork respectfully and professionally around guests.
- WHMIScertification is preferred.
- First Aideand CPR certification is an asset.
- Minimum 19years of age.
- Ability towork flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shiftsas required.
