About the role

Tube-Fab Ltd. is seeking a Quality Inspector / Engineer to support inspection, quality planning, problem solving, and continuous improvement in our manufacturing operations. This role combines hands-on inspection of manufactured components with collaboration across production, engineering, and suppliers to prevent quality issues and meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities

- Perform dimensional and visual inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, specifications, tolerances, and acceptance criteria.
- Support quality planning for new programs, including APQP, PPAP, and FMEA activities.
- Identify quality risks and work with cross-functional teams and suppliers to prevent nonconformities.
- Investigate quality issues and lead or support root cause and corrective action activities using methods such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone analysis.
- Support Material Review Board activities, customer rejections, and responses to quality escapes.




- Participate in internal, special process, and quality management system audits.
- Track corrective and preventive actions through completion.
- Use quality data and continuous improvement methods to strengthen manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

- A degree in engineering or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience in manufacturing quality systems.
- 3–5 years of relevant manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years in Quality Engineering, Quality Control, or Quality Assurance.
- Hands-on experience with dimensional inspection and precision measuring equipment.
- Solid ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T.;
- Experience with AS9100D.
- Strong root cause analysis, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Experience with CMMs, Nadcap processes, welding, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma is an asset.
