Job Title: Receptionist Ministry:Justice Edmonton Regional and Rural Response Office Full or Part-Time:Full Time Permanent/Temporary/Wage: Permanent Administrative Support 4 Salary: $1,918.46 to $2,427.46 bi-weekly ($50,071.81/year - $63,356.71/year) The Ministry of Justice leads a fair and innovative justice system. We ensure we are providing legal and strategic services to government by representing ministries in matters before the courts and tribunals, and drafting public government bills, regulations and orders-in-council. The Ministry of Justice is seeking a highly motived receptionist in their in the Edmonton Rural and Regional Response Office (ERRRO) to provide administrative support for the prosecution of criminal and provincial offences, including but not limited to the Criminal Code of Canada and the Traffic Safety Act.

Reporting to the Regional Office Manager, the Receptionist plays a key role in supporting the operations of the Crown office.

Responsibilities include answering telephones, Processing mail, photocopying, and performing other services that are required to ensure that branch goals and objectives are met. This is a public facing role and requires strong communication skills and the ability to remain professional when dealing with difficult situations. The primary responsibilities for the Receptionist include,



but are not limited to: Providing the first line of contact within ERRRO by providing receptionist duties.

Providing administrative support to Crown Prosecutors and client services to approximately 40 staff members. Using tools such as Word, Outlook, Prosecutor Information System Manager (PRISM), Justice On-Line Information Network (JOIN), e-Crim and other resources as required. Maintaining professionalism when working with Crown Prosecutors, Defense Counsel, Policing Services or the General Public.

Assets

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook), Prosecutor Information System Manager (PRISM), Justice On-Line Information Network (JOIN) and Criminal e-File (CReF). Post-secondary Legal Assistant diploma or a related discipline.
