Respirologist / Pulmonologist — Full time Outpatient Position

Salman Riaz Professional Corporation is seeking a specialist physician in Respirology/Pulmonology to join an established multidisciplinary medical practice in Medicine Hat, Alberta.

This is a full-time, one-FTE outpatient position focused primarily on the assessment and management of patients with respiratory and pulmonary conditions. There is no hospital call requirement for this position.

The physician will be primarily employed by Salman Riaz Professional Corporation. The specific employment arrangement, overhead costs, remuneration and other terms will be discussed and mutually agreed upon during the interview and subsequent discussions.

Position

- Full-time, 1.0 FTE
- Respirology/Pulmonology outpatient practice

- No hospital call requirement
- Primarily clinic-based work
- Opportunity to establish and develop a long-term respirology practice in Medicine Hat
- Some General Internal Medicine work may be incorporated into the practice, depending on the physician's training, interests and the needs of the practice

Qualifications

Applicants should

1. Be eligible for general licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).
2. Have specialist training in Respirology/Pulmonology.
3.



FRCPC (Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada) is preferred.
4. MRCP (UK) with CCT in Respiratory Medicine, or CESR, is required for candidates applying through the UK training pathway.
5. Candidates with combined training or qualifications in General Internal Medicine and Respirology will be given preference, as the position may include some General Internal Medicine responsibilities.

About the Opportunity

This is an opportunity for a motivated respirologist/pulmonologist to establish a predominantly outpatient practice within a growing multidisciplinary medical environment in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
