As a Salesforce Release Manager , you will make an impact by leading and coordinating enterprise application releases across Salesforce, MuleSoft, nCino, and integrated applications while ensuring production readiness, governance compliance, and deployment success. You will be a valued member of the delivery team and work collaboratively with Development, QA, UAT, Operations, Business stakeholders, Security teams, Infrastructure teams, and external vendors. Plan, coordinate, and manage end-to-end release activities across Salesforce, MuleSoft, nCino, and integrated applications.

Facilitate impact assessments and coordinate third-party platform releases, including Salesforce seasonal releases and nCino bi-annual releases. Coordinate deployment activities across Development, QA, UAT, Operations, and Business teams. Manage pre-production and production deployment processes, including migration, business validation testing (BVT), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), rollback planning, and post-deployment verification.

Identify, assess, and mitigate release-related risks, dependencies, and issues. Develop and maintain release calendars, schedules, and deployment plans. Collaborate with application support, infrastructure, security, and vendor teams to ensure release success.

Monitor release outcomes, track metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Facilitate post-implementation reviews and root cause analysis for release-related incidents. Maintain release documentation, runbooks, deployment procedures, and operational readiness artifacts.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring attendance in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.



This may change based on the project you're engaged in, as well as business and client requirements. 7+ years of IT experience with at least 3+ years managing enterprise application releases. ~ Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture and deployment processes. ~ Experience supporting nCino implementations or platform releases. ~ Experience coordinating releases involving Salesforce, MuleSoft, APIs, and integrated enterprise applications. ~ Solid knowledge of SDLC, Agile delivery methodologies, release management, and change management processes. ~ Experience managing SIT, UAT, production deployments, rollback strategies, and post-production validation activities. ~ Strong understanding of risk management, audit requirements, and governance controls. ~ Experience facilitating executive stakeholder reviews, release readiness meetings, and deployment communications. ~ These will help you stand out Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives for release management practices.

Experience leading post-implementation reviews and release-related root cause analysis activities.

Experience developing and maintaining release calendars, deployment schedules, and operational readiness artifacts.

Experience collaborating across application support, security, infrastructure, and vendor management teams. Exposure to release automation initiatives and deployment process optimization. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus,
