Role Overview

We are seeking a strong Software Developer – ETL to support the design and development of data warehousing, Business Intelligence, reporting, and analytics solutions.

The operating environment includes JEE, CURAM, Crystal Reports, Oracle SQL/PL SQL, Power BI, Oracle Database, Business Objects Universe and Dashboarding, WebI, Bursting technologies, and Informatica ETL.

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Key Responsibilities

- Perform analysis, design, development, unit testing, defect fixing, and other necessary tasks in a data warehousing and BI environment using Oracle PL/SQL.
- Design, develop, and test Informatica mappings.
- Develop ETL scripts to transfer and transform data from OLTP databases to the Data Warehouse and Data Marts.
- Develop and maintain BOE reports.
- Communicate progress clearly and in a timely manner to the management team.
- Must have skills in Crystal Reports, Informatica, Power BI, and BOE reporting.

- Experience in structured methodologies for the development, design, implementation, and maintenance of applications.
- Experience in designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting applications.
- Experience in the use of object and/or third-generation language development tools.
- Experience in one or more programming languages.
- Experience in application design, latest design patterns, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies.
- Experience in the use of information retrieval packages using query languages.
- Experience with one or more communications protocols.
- Experience in structured methodologies for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of applications.




- Experience eliciting and documenting information from diverse business-area stakeholders and subject matter experts.

Desirable Skills

- Knowledge and experience with programming Internet-ready applications.
- Knowledge and experience in rapid application development (RAD) methodologies.
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
- Experience with middleware and gateways.
- Experience reviewing, analyzing, and modifying product installation scripts, including encoding, testing, and debugging.
- Ability to provide post-implementation support and resolve post-implementation technical issues.
- Experience conducting design walkthrough sessions with project teams.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards.
- Ability to provide user and system documentation as required.

Experience and Skill Set Requirements Technical Skills – 70%

Must Have:

- 5+ years of experience with analysis, design, development, unit testing, defect fixing, and other necessary tasks in data warehousing and BI environments.
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing Crystal Reports, Power BI, and BOE reports.
- 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and testing Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
- 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and testing in Informatica.
- Experience with technology solutions and development methodologies.
- Experience analyzing and designing changes to existing web-based software solutions.




- Complete knowledge of SDLC methodologies, including Agile development.
- Experience with RDBMS design concepts.
- Experience with Data Warehouse design, reporting, and ETL concepts.
- Experience with Data Warehouse architecture, design, dimensional modeling, development, and deployment of Business Intelligence systems.

- Ability to mentor junior developers and lead technical discussions.
