Overview

Keystone is hiring an experienced Sub-Compact Tractor Operator for the upcoming winter season. Our crews keep driveways, sidewalks, and walkways clear and safe for residential clients throughout the winter, and we're looking for a skilled, reliable operator who takes pride in doing the job right.

This position offers a guaranteed $2,000 per month, whether it snows or not, for the full season from November 1 to April 30. The role typically involves around 10 to 20 hours of work per week, depending on snowfall, so you have steady, predictable income without full-time hours.

You'll operate a sub-compact tractor equipped for snow removal, clearing residential driveways and walkways efficiently and carefully. Company vehicles are provided during working hours. You'll need your own vehicle and a valid driver's licence to get to our shop when called.

This position is ideal for people who do delivery, rideshare, or other adaptable work. Between storms your time is your own, and you have a guaranteed $2,000 a month added to your income all winter.

Compensation and Schedule

- Guaranteed $2,000 per month from November 1 to April 30, snow or no snow
- Must be ready to work starting November 1
- Typically 10 to 20 hours of work per week, depending on snowfall
- Callouts can happen at any hour, including overnight and early morning

Responsibilities

- Operate a sub-compact tractor with snow removal attachments to clear residential driveways, sidewalks, and walkways
- Clear snow to a clean, safe, and professional standard while working carefully around homes, vehicles, landscaping, and other property
- Respond promptly to callouts at any hour of the day or night during and after snowfalls




- Report to the shop on time when called and complete assigned routes efficiently
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the tractor and attachments
- Carry out basic maintenance such as checking fluids, greasing, and keeping equipment clean and in working order
- Identify and report equipment issues, hazards, or property damage to your supervisor right away
- Treat clients' homes and property with care and respect, and represent Keystone professionally at all times
- Assist the crew with hand shoveling or snowblower work when needed
- Follow all safety procedures and supervisor instructions on every job

Experience and Qualifications

- Previous experience operating a sub-compact or compact tractor is required. Snow removal experience with a tractor, skid steer, or similar equipment is strongly preferred.
- Experience clearing residential driveways and working in tight spaces around homes and vehicles is a major asset
- Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with routine equipment maintenance is an asset
- Experience towing a trailer is an asset
- Reliability is the most important qualification for this role. Our clients depend on us to have their homes cleared on time, and we depend on our operators to answer their phone and show up every time they're called.
- Must be available on call 24/7 from November 1 through April 30




- Valid driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle to get to the shop when called
- Comfortable operating equipment at night and in poor visibility and winter conditions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Dresses appropriately for extreme cold and comes prepared for long shifts outdoors

Leadership Opportunity Keystone is also looking for candidates with previous supervisory or managerial experience in snow removal, landscaping, or a related field.
