Job Summary
Mighty Mick's Cleaning Co. is seeking reliable and hardworking Snow Removal Technicians for the 2026–27 winter season. This on-call seasonal position requires dependable availability following snowfalls. We offer a guaranteed weekly minimum of $450 from November 1 - April 15, providing income stability even during periods of little or no snowfall.
Each technician will be responsible for an assigned residential route of approximately 20–25 properties and will help ensure safe, timely, and consistent snow removal for our clients throughout the winter.
Compensation
- $26.00 base rate with $30.00+/hour earning potential
- $450 guaranteed minimum earnings per week — employees receive the greater of the weekly guarantee or their hourly earnings, conditional on availability
- $10 vehicle/gas allowance per completed route
- $15 route-completion bonus per completed route
- Up to $500 season-end equipment-care bonus, with amount based on the condition and care of company equipment
- Additional performance bonuses available for consistently reliable, high-quality work throughout the season
- Company snow-removal equipment provided. Must provide own vehicle and winter clothing.
- Company outings and social events.
Duties
- Complete an assigned residential snow-removal route of approximately 20–25 properties.
- Clear snow from residential driveways, sidewalks, walkways, steps and other designated areas. Consistent edge to edge clearing is expected.
- Safely operate snow-removal equipment, including snowblowers, backpack blowers, shovels, scrapers and other provided equipment.
- Apply ice melt or gravel where required.
- Load, transport, and unload snow-removal equipment using your own suitable vehicle.
- Maintain consistent service and quality standards across your assigned route.
- Complete routes within required service timelines following qualifying snowfall.
- Use our route-management app for navigation, route updates, job completion and required photo verification.
- Communicate promptly regarding route progress, property concerns, equipment issues or delays.
- Properly care for, maintain and safeguard all company equipment assigned to you.
- Follow all company safety procedures while working outdoors in winter conditions.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence.
- Reliable access to a truck or SUV suitable for transporting snow-removal equipment throughout the winter season.
- Availability to work on-call 7 days per week following snowfall. Christmas Day and New Year's Day are excluded.
- Reliable smartphone with an active data plan, camera capabilities and ability to use our route-management app.
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work for extended periods in winter conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing reliable, high-quality service.
- Ability to work independently and manage an assigned residential route efficiently.
- Familiarity with snow-removal equipment such as snowblowers and backpack blowers is considered an asset.
- Previous snow-removal, landscaping,
property-maintenance or related experience is considered an asset, but is not required.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada. References will be contacted.
