At a large firm, a new accountant can spend a year on one section of one file. At Lee CPA, you will work on audits, reviews, compilations and tax from your first month, alongside people who know your name and want you to succeed.

We are a fast-paced, busy 10-person CPA firm in Thornhill, founded in 2015, specializing in child care (CWELCC compliance), credit unions (FSRA compliance) and environmental audits for waste management. We treat our people like family and help them grow professionally. Many of our clients started with a dream and a small loan; helping them is why we do this.

What you will do

- Prepare working papers and fieldwork for audit and review engagements, including CWELCC daycare audits
- Prepare compilation engagements (NTR) and year-end financial statements
- Prepare T2 corporate returns, T1 personal returns and GST/HST returns
- Reconcile accounts and clean up client books in QuickBooks Online
- Track your time daily and keep files moving through our practice system
- Learn from our Senior Auditor, Manager and Managing Partner on every file

What you bring

- A degree or diploma in accounting; enrolled in or planning the CPA program
- 1–3 years of public practice experience (new grads with co-op experience are welcome to apply)
- Working knowledge of Excel and QuickBooks Online; CaseWare and tax software are assets
- Attention to detail, curiosity, and the habit of asking "does this make sense?"

Lee CPA Professional Corporation is a public accounting firm in Thornhill, Ontario, founded in 2015 by Natalie Lee, CPA. We are a team of about 10 people. Each year we complete roughly 1,500 engagements for about 250 corporate clients, plus families and individuals across the GTA.

What we do. Our work spans audit, review, compilation, corporate and personal tax, and GST/HST. We have built deep expertise in three areas where accuracy protects real people:

- Child care. We audit licensed child care operators across Ontario, including CWELCC compliance, which keeps fees affordable for families. We also publish the Ontario Daycare Circle, a weekly newsletter for child care operators.
- Credit unions. We help credit unions meet FSRA compliance, so members can trust that their savings are safe.




- Environmental audits. We audit waste management operators, helping show that waste is handled the way the law and the community expect.

Our next step is public sector accounting, starting in the child care sector we know best.

What it is like here. We will be honest: we are fast-paced and busy. Tax season and the April 30 CWELCC deadlines are intense, and audit fieldwork can take us to client sites. We work in office in Thornhill, track our time daily, and hold each other to a high standard. In return, you will never be a number. You will know every person on the team, see every type of file, and grow faster than you would at a large firm.

We learn. Learning is part of the job, not something squeezed in after hours. You will work side by side with a Managing Partner who has over 20 years in public accounting, and with managers and seniors who review your work to teach, not just to correct. We are building our own AI-assisted practice management system, so you will learn modern tools alongside the fundamentals.

Our team researches and writes our weekly client newsletters, which keeps all of us sharp on what is changing in tax, child care and compliance.

We care about our community too: our sustainability initiative runs an office food-waste program and a sustainability blog that the whole team can contribute to.
