Support at-risk youth as a Primary Youth Worker in Ouje-Bougoumou with a focus on structured interventions. This full time role emphasizes collaboration with schools, guardians, and community partners. In this permanent position, you will facilitate the Alternate Suspension Program, addressing the needs of secondary school students.
Your interventions will include individual sessions, workshops, and assistance with schoolwork, ensuring supportive conditions during suspensions. Collaboration with local organizations for summer activities will also be central to your work. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Alternative Suspension Program effectively
- Conduct individual and group interventions for students
- Support students in their schoolwork and draft evaluations
- Communicate regularly with parents and school officials
- Develop prevention programs based on community needs
Requirements:
- College diploma in Social Work, Education, or related field
- 3-5 years experience with at-risk youth
- Fluency in Cree and English; French is an asset
- Strong customer service and empathy skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
