About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer and Registrar to lead its regulatory college, which is dedicated to ensuring secure, competent, and ethical nursing care. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic, regulatory, operational, and cultural leadership to advance the organization's public protection mandate.
This role requires a senior executive with a strong background in professional regulation, healthcare, the public sector, or a similarly complex environment. The CEO and Registrar will be expected to exercise statutory authority, build a constructive governance partnership, and lead a Senior Leadership Team to enhance organizational performance and stewardship.
The ideal candidate will be eligible for nursing licensure in Alberta and will have a deep understanding of governance, administrative law, public-interest decision-making, and the province's health system. They should be adept at leveraging technology and data to improve regulatory effectiveness and be a principled, politically astute relationship builder.
The role demands a leader who is a courageous and inclusive people manager, capable of fostering a culture of continuous improvement and shared accountability. This is a pivotal opportunity for a forward-looking executive to make a meaningful impact on the future of nursing regulation and the health and well-being of the community.
