Become a vital part of Nexans as a Materials & Qualification Specialist, enhancing supply chain efficiencies in North America. Lead technical qualifications and certifications for cutting-edge cable systems.
In this specialized role, you will report to the Engineering and Technical Director, actively engaging with North America’s commercial and technical teams. Your expertise will support CSA/UL certifications, ensuring compliance across raw materials and finished goods. Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams to vet new suppliers and optimize processes for efficiency and cost savings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage CSA/UL qualification projects for manufacturing sites • Support evaluation and approval of new raw material suppliers • Oversee technical aspects of inter-company cable supply chains • Monitor compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards • Provide technical support for commercialization and marketing initiatives
Requirements: • Minimum 5 years in cable design or engineering • Strong knowledge of CSA and UL standards • Excellent communication skills with stakeholders • Engineering or technology degree required • Willingness to travel globally for projects
