About the job Early Childhood Assistant InstructorJob Title: Early Childhood Assistant InstructorLocation: BramptonEmployment Type: Part-timeSchedule: Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PMPay Range: $33–35/hrStart Date: October 5, 2026End Date: January 29, 2027Position Summary:The Academy of Learning is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Assistant Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will support the delivery of the Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) program, providing students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to pursue careers in early childhood education. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in childcare and a desire to inspire the next generation of early childhood professionals.Key Responsibilities:Deliver course content and support students through classroom instruction, online platforms, and/or blended learning environmentsAssist in developing lesson plans, presentations, assessments, and hands-on activities aligned with program curriculum and learning objectivesMonitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support student success through regular check-ins and academic supportEncourage active student participation and maintain a supportive, inclusive learning environmentEvaluate assignments and assessments in a timely and fair mannerProvide support with practicum placement coordination, including site preparation and student readinessStay current with industry best practices and regulatory changes in early childhood educationParticipate in staff meetings, training sessions,
and career development opportunitiesMaintain accurate and up-to-date student records in compliance with institutional and accreditation standardsQualifications:A Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Early Childhood Education from a registered institution in Canada with a minimum of five (5) years current working experience as an Early Childhood Educator in Canada and current membership in the provincial association for Early Childhood Educators.Previous teaching, training, or mentoring experience preferredKnowledge of adult learning principles and student-centered instructionExcellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsAbility to use learning management systems (LMS) and online teaching tools (e.G., Zoom, Microsoft Teams)Current First Aid/CPR certification and clear Vulnerable Sector Check (if required)Preferred Qualifications:Experience or formal training in teaching adults is highly regarded.We thank all the candidates for your time and interest in applying for the position.
