About the Role Our client is seeking a skilled and compassionate Addiction Counsellor to support individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction in Kimberley . This role utilizes a hybrid model, combining remote therapeutic sessions with essential in-person support and group facilitation. You will play a vital role in helping clients overcome addiction, develop coping mechanisms, and rebuild their lives. Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of substance abuse patterns and co-occurring mental health issues.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and recovery plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
- Offer crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing withdrawal or acute distress.
- Educate clients and their families on addiction,



recovery processes, and relapse prevention strategies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records and progress reports.

Requirements

- Relevant qualification in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Professional registration with a recognized counseling body (e.g., HPCSA).
- Proven experience in addiction counseling or substance abuse treatment.
- Strong knowledge of addiction dynamics, treatment modalities, and recovery principles.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and motivational interviewing skills.
