Mission StatementThe Salvation Army exists to share the love of Jesus Christ, meet human needs and be a transforming influence in the communities of our world.Must adhere to the local commitment statement within the ministry unit.Performs office duties such as answering telephone, direct enquiries, and answers inquiries.photocopies and distributes materials as requested and sends or receives fax/email material as requested.Uses microsoft office for routine documentation such as forms, letters, memos, emails, policies & procedures and record keeping. Checks typing for accuracy, plus sorts and prioritizes typing assignments within general guidelines.Maintains adequate office supplies from stationery to boardroom items i.e., Builds and maintains databases (e.g., Drafts and prepares presentations, brochures, flyers, advertisements, invitations, certificates subject to Area Commanders approval.Arranges maintenance of office equipment and all other areas of the facility..Performs other office-related duties/operations as assigned.The postholder will be required to work in an office workplace where he/she will be in a shared work- space but have their own desk, computer,
and space for filing information.The performance of the job requires a moderate amount of keyboarding, manual record keeping, and lifting various donations. The performance of the job requires attentive listening and observation of body language, continuously monitoring the environment, multi-tasking, and reviews.The incumbent’s work environment is typically in an office setting, however, may expand to other venues of the Bermuda Community Services..Dealing with angry people and verbal abuseAbusive peopleAn ever-changing work scheduleExposure to bodily fluids and bodily wasteExposure to drugs and alcoholThe job incumbent may be exposed to the risk of minor to moderate injury or illness due to:Physical attacks by othersExposure to infectious diseasesExposure to bodily fluidsSharp objectsOther potentially dangerous situationsEducation, Qualifications and Certifications:Completion of a formal post-secondary program of two academic years in a related field or Business Administration experience of no less than 5 years.Be employed in a related field with work experience or on-the-job training.Experience and Skilled Knowledge RequirementsGood administrative, organizational, written, and verbal communication skillsComputer literacyAttentive Listening, continuouslyAbility to operate related equipment.Skills and Capabilities:The post holder should be a person who is able to explain information easily as well as being a good listener.Someone who can multitaskResilient and persistentAccurate note takerCompensation:The target hiring range for this position is BD$42,540.07 to BD$53,175.09 with a maximum of BD$63,810.10.Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
