Centre is one of five Toronto Rehab sites across Toronto. Reporting to the Manager, Qualified Practice, the Advanced Practice Nurse Educator (APNE)



is an integral member of the interdisciplinary leadership team anddemonstratesa set of core competencies fundamental to developing andmaintainingthe academic practice environment at UHN. The APNE aligned with the Progressive Rehab Unit at Bickle Centreis a member ofthe Toronto Rehab Practice Leadership team and Practice-Based Education team within the Collaborative Academic Practice portfolio.

The APNE role involves enhancing patient care by applying evidence-based practices, providing clinical consultation, and addressing gaps in practice. Design and deliver tailored staff education Promotes professional development, and mentor nurses for career growth Collaborate with teams across UHN and the academic community on clinical and educational initiatives Leads program evaluation, implements innovative education strategies, and supports and leads quality improvement initiatives Drive nursing visibility and change management efforts, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations Must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario and able to practice without restrictions Master's degree in nursing or education required Current membership in RNAO (Registered Nurses Association of Ontario)
