Insight Global is seeking an experienced Applications Engineer with a strong background in industrial/OT networking and automation systems to join a highly specialized technical team at a global leader in industrial technology. This is a permanent, full-time, customer-facing role supporting customers across Canada through pre-sales technical guidance, proof-of-concept development, and on-site troubleshooting. The ideal candidate brings a hybrid background spanning industrial networking and automation/PLC systems, and is comfortable working independently in a quick-paced environment with direct customer interaction.

This role is primarily remote with roughly 25% travel to customer sites across Canada and occasional international travel for training. 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial/OT networking (pure IT networking backgrounds without factory/industrial exposure will not be considered) ~ Working knowledge of industrial network redundancy protocols - MRP, PRP, HSR, RSTP, and/or XLSR - with the ability to make architectural decisions, not just configure devices ~ Familiarity with PLC platforms and automation systems (Siemens, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, ABB, or equivalent)
