Contributes to the overall success of the Global Sanctions & Screening (GSS) program risk function by ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the functions and the strategies and objectives of the GSS team. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Is this role right for you? In this role, you will: Supporting with the execution of various activities that are critical to the sustainment of Scotiabank’s sanctions program risk function, including:



assessing and advising on sanctions risks of new product/service initiatives; assessing andadvising on sanctions risks of third party engagements and their associated contractual arrangements; tracking and identifying impact of sanctions-relevant regulatory changes; updating GSS-specific program risk documentation; maintaining arecordkeeping system for completed risk assessments; and distributing to applicable stakeholders a tracker of completed, pending and on hold new product/service initiatives. Execute ad hoc assignments in support of the GSS Program Governance and Training functions, as instructed by the Director, Global Sanctions, including: maintaining GSS document and training trackers; coordinating timely communications of certain GSS program matters; and maintaining and enhancing sanctions communication channels, including the GSS SharePoint site. Build robust partnerships with key internal stakeholders and work collaboratively across functional teams.
