Services - Aquatics Internal Posting Date: September 18, 2026 External Posting Date: October 02, 2026 2026 Hourly Rate: $36.39 after probation The City of Dawson Creek invites applications for a part-time Aquatics Lifeguard/Instructor I. The lifeguard/instructor I must have a minimum of one year experience in an aquatic environment. Provides instruction, supervision and ensures safety for swimming and other aquatic programs.

Ensure that all necessary equipment is in positive working order and ready for immediate or emergency use. Monitors and records pool conditions when necessary.

Lifesaving Swim

Instructor certification. Compliance with and approval of a Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector. The ideal candidate possesses the capacity to perform all duties in a secure manner while fostering positive relationships with both the public and fellow staff.
