Our associates combine deep industry expertise with innovative technologies to deliver measurable business outcomes.Role OverviewWe are seeking a Penetration Tester with 3–5 years of experience to join our Threat & Vulnerability Management (TVM) team.In this role, you will blend traditional penetration testing methodologies with AI-powered security tools to identify, analyze, and validate vulnerabilities across applications and systems. This is an chance to work at the forefront of AI-driven cybersecurity, helping strengthen security posture through advanced threat discovery techniques.Key ResponsibilitiesPenetration Testing & AnalysisConduct comprehensive penetration tests using industry-standard methodologiesLeverage AI-powered tools to enhance vulnerability discovery and analysisValidate and triage vulnerabilities identified through automated and AI-driven toolsVulnerability ManagementDocument security findings with clear, actionable remediation recommendationsAssess and prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk, impact, and exploitabilitySupport the end-to-end vulnerability lifecycle, from discovery through remediationApplication SecurityIdentify and evaluate application-level vulnerabilities and security weaknessesCollaborate with development and engineering teams to improve application security postureCollaboration & CommunicationClearly communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholdersPartner with cross-functional teams to drive remediation and continuous improvementRequired Qualifications3–5 years of experience in penetration testing, ethical hacking, or security assessmentsStrong proficiency in traditional penetration testing tools and methodologiesExperience working with or exposure to AI-powered security tools and analysis platformsSolid understanding of application security principles and common vulnerabilities (e.G., OWASP Top 10)Strong analytical skills, including the ability to validate and interpret AI-generated findingsKnowledge of the vulnerability lifecycle (discovery, assessment, remediation)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience testing modern applications (web, APIs, cloud environments)Familiarity with scripting or automation (e.G., Python, Bash)Industry certifications such as OSCP, CEH, GWAPT, or similarExperience working in agile or DevSecOps environmentsSalary and Other CompensationThe annual salary for this position is between CAD $85,000 – $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.This role is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance.BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement savings plan with company contributionsPaid time off (vacation and holidays)Employee wellness and assistance programsLearning and development opportunitiesWork AuthorizationApplicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.Equal Opportunity StatementCognizant is an equal opportunity employer.
