As a Cook at AgeCare, you will be responsible for preparing meals, checking special dietary orders, and supervising Food Services Workers. Your role is crucial in fostering a home-like atmosphere; hence, experience in a supervisory capacity is preferred. You will also collaborate with the Food Services Manager to address any resident or family concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs
• Maintain food safety and sanitary conditions in the kitchen
• Supervise Food Services Workers effectively
• Ensure timely meal delivery and preparation
• Respond to resident dietary concerns promptly
Requirements:
• Prior experience as a Cook in a supervisory role
• Current Protected Food Handling Certificate
• Minimum public school education; high school preferred
• Diploma in quality food preparation and production
