As a Port Security Officer, your main duties will include anticipating and addressing inquiries, hazards, obstacles, and traffic concerns, patrolling the facility regularly, ensuring authorized entry to secure areas only, writing detailed incident reports, and complying with the Marine Transportation Security Regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesPatrol Grounds: Conduct regular rounds of the premises, including parking areas, buildings, entrances, and exits, to ensure the safety and security of the site.Monitor Surveillance Systems: Operate security cameras and alarm systems, ensuring any suspicious activity is reported immediately to the appropriate authorities.Access Control: Monitor and control entry points, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areas.Respond to Emergencies: Act quickly in emergency situations, such as fire alarms, or security threats. Assist staff as needed.Report Writing: Document daily activities, incidents, or accidents accurately. Complete reports on incidents, breaches, and security concerns.Enforce Policies: Ensure that our client policies, including visitor and their employees, are followed.
