JOB POSTING:Casual, Behaviour InterventionistJOB SUMMARY:Working within the Autism Services Program (ASP), the casual Behaviour Interventionist will assist children to participate in program activities outlined in the child's behaviour plan, as developed by an interdisciplinary team.RESPONSIBLE TO:Autism Services Program ManagerEducation, Training & Experience:Grade 12 diploma or equivalentMinimum six months recent related experience working with neurodivergent children and youthKNOWLEDGE, Skills & Abilities:Effective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to take direction and follow planned programsAbility to work cooperatively and effectively within a teamComputer competence, including Microsoft 365 applicationsAbility to adapt in dynamic and quick-paced environmentsRESPONSIBILITIES:Provide direct intervention, both individually and within a group setting, to children/youth in the ASP, assisting them to participate in program activities and follow the individualized plan as determined and directed by the interdisciplinary teamPrepare materials for the child/youth's program,



such as LessonPix materials or visual supportsCollect data through observations, record the child/youth's progress on their Individual Program Plan, and share updates with the interdisciplinary teamWork collaboratively within a team and actively participate in team meetings by providing input on the child/youth's progressOther duties as assignedADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Required physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including but not limited to lifting, bending, sitting, standing, and responding quickly as neededConsent to Criminal Record Check through the BC Criminal Records Review ProgramValid driver's license and own transportationSTART DATE:As soon as possibleDAYS & HOURS:Monday to Friday, 8:10 am to 4:10 pm. Some evening or weekend hours may be required occasionally, depending on program needs.WAGE:Grid Level 20 ($27.91 - $29.60 per hour) per HSA Community Subsector Collective Agreement.
