North American Trade Schools is looking for a dynamicindividual to join our team as an instructor in our HVAC department. The idealcandidate will have 5+yers of experience in the trade along with the relevantcertiçations (G2 minimum). If you have a passion for helping others achievetheir goals this role may be for you!
Position Summary:
The instructor is ultimately responsible for modeling thebehavior in both the classroom and the lab that will allow each student tofulfiåll their academic potential. Instructors must combine their real worldknowledge and experience with a prescribed curriculum in line with theinstitutions core values.
Essential Functions
- Deliver the curriculum throughlecture presentations (virtually and in person)
- Use Customer RelationshipManagement (CRM) software and Learning Management Software (LMS) as required
- Take daily attendance & followup to ensure retention goals are met
- Record and submit grades to theappropriate personnel/software in a timely manner
- Be available for student supportwhich is held outside of class times
- Participate in recent studentorientations as required
- Attend all required faculty/staffmeetings and graduation ceremonies
- Stay current on industry trendsand maintain certiçation or licensure in the related fiæld
- Exhibit professional and modelbehavior while at the campus or representing the school in the community
- Work with Career Services toensure students are progressing as planned and ready for employment
- Treat all staff and studentsequally with respect free from bias or discrimination
- Create and maintain an organizedlesson plan and work area
- Manage conuffflict between studentsthrough behavioral observation and early intervention
- Keep students and academicservices up to date by introducing new content, news, and updates
- Conduct employer visits, fiçeltrips and guest speakers
- Work with students that mayrequire accommodations
- Continue professional developmentwithin the industry you are instructing
- Other duties as requested by theCampus Director
Position Requirements:
- 48 months of work or teaching experience in the vocation, acquired within the preceding 10 years, or a combination of the two. OR 24 months of work or teaching experience in the vocation, acquired within the preceding 10 years, or a combination of the two and one of the following:
- Hold a Bachelor Degree from aCanadian university or an equivalent degree
- A graduate of a College ofApplied Arts and Technology or equivalent
- A graduate of a registered PCCor equivalent
- Hold a Certiçate ofQualiüiçation under the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act orequivalent.
All instructors are required to provide two letters ofreference from individuals of no relation verifying the work/teachingexperience in the discipline of which you are applying.
Must be proçient with computers and administration systems,speciëcally Microsoft Office. Experience with Learning Management Systems is anasset. Adult education training and experience with Private Career Colleges ispreferred however not essential. We are looking for individuals that have relevantexperience and which to transfer that knowledge to others.

Monday to Thursday 5:30pm to 11pm
