Make a difference with The Brenda Strafford Foundation as a Child and Youth Development Specialist. This permanent full-time role focuses on creating enriching programming for children and youth in a protected, supportive environment. In this role at Heart Home Network, you will lead developmentally appropriate activities for ages 0-18, supporting their growth and well-being.
Your expertise in child development will be vital as you foster emotional well-being, encourage healthy relationships, and maintain safety in programming. You will also engage with diverse children and youth, adapting activities to meet individual needs and backgrounds. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan engaging activities for children 0-12 years old
- Facilitate youth programming for ages 8-18
- Build positive relationships with children and caregivers
- Conduct developmental assessments and observations
- Collaborate with staff to provide consistent care
Requirements:
- Degree in Early Childhood Development or Social Work
- One year of relevant experience
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification
- Police security clearance and child intervention check
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving abstract
