Mission StatementThe Salvation Army exists to share the love of Jesus Christ, meet human needs and be a transforming influence in the communities of our world.The Christmas Campaign Coordinator provides general oversight and direction to the Hamper, Toy Drive and Food Drive campaigns.

The Christmas Campaign

Coordinator organizes, directs, and supervises the work performed by the various campaign coordinators, and workers.ACCOUNTABILITIES:AdministrationProvide oversight to the Community Services Christmas Campaigns including the Toy Drive and Volunteer Coordinator and other campaign staff to ensure smooth campaign· In cooperation with the Hamper Campaign and CFS staff, ensure all campaign information is updated and promoted to the community and partnering agencies· Secure donations or sponsors to assist with food and refreshments for Hamper volunteer an· Maintain confidential records of client information· Complete online applications with clients as required· Answer telephone, manage and/or redirect calls as appropriate· Prepare, coordinate and distribute correspondences as required· Update information and materials as required throughout the campaign· Coordinate team meetingsCollect, record and forward statistical information as required· Complete final campaign report to director to include campaign highlights and recommendationsHamper and Toy Drive CampaignsProvide campaign oversight to the online registration process,



troubleshooting any application issues or concernsDevelop timeline of events and important dates for both Hampers and Toy DriveRepresent The Salvation Army at campaign fundraising and community eventsLiaise with local businesses, radio stations and the community at large to support the campaignKeep an accurate inventory of all donated and purchased toysOversee the organizing, setting up and take down of the toy centresOversee and assist with preparation of registrant gift card packagesCollect and forward statistical information as requiredOversee the set up of gift card distribution centreManage the preparation of hamper certificate packages to be delivered through the Fire department and Police Services or for Agency pick upsPerform other position related duties as required.This is a Seasonal Full time position based on up to 44 hours per week.Minimum of one (1) year of prior related experience working in community-based programs would be a definite asset.Experience in office administration.

Experience with general office equipment and m ust have strong skills and experience using word processing (WORD); spread sheet use (EXCEL).Valid Ontario Clas ‘G’ Driver’s License, personal vehicle required and insurance, current copy of driver’s abstract for review and verification that is satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion, is requiredSkills and Capabilities: ·Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and adaptability.Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced office setting; Lead by example, by demonstrating a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and be flexible in the face of change.·Exhibit good listening skills, have robust oral/written communication skills.Work in compliance with OH&S; Act and Regulations and abide by The Salvation Army’s health and safety policies and procedures.Attentive listening skills for the purpose of supervision, coaching, and conflict resolution.Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
